Zene Stores Terms
Opening a poster store on Zene: how sales are credited, how commissions are worked out and paid, the rules every store follows, and what happens to store information.

1. What Zene Stores is
Zene Stores lets anyone with a Zene account open a free store page at myzene.com/store/ followed by a store name, choose posters from the Zene shop, and earn a commission when someone buys a poster they opened from that store or from one of its poster links. These Zene Stores Terms (“Store Terms”) apply together with the Terms of Service, the Poster Purchase and Pricing Terms, the Community Guidelines, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Privacy Policy. Where these Store Terms deal specifically with stores, they apply to that point.
Zene Stores currently operates in India: posters are sold and delivered in India, commissions are earned in Indian rupees, and earnings are paid to bank accounts in India. Countries, features and limits may change; the store dashboard shows what applies to you.
Opening, running and closing a store is free. Zene never charges you a fee to receive your earnings.
2. Who can open a store
You need a Zene account in good standing and must meet the minimum age in the Terms of Service. Each Zene account can have one store. Do not open or use additional accounts to get around store limits, to buy from your own store, or after a store of yours was closed for breaking these Store Terms.
If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may run a store only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian. Your parent or guardian accepts these Store Terms on your behalf, is responsible for how the store is run, and may receive your earnings in their own bank account. Zene may ask them to confirm their permission and may hold payments until they do.
Running a store does not make you an employee, agent, partner, franchisee or representative of Zene. You act independently, you cannot make promises or agreements on Zene’s behalf, and these Store Terms do not create a joint venture or an employment relationship.
3. Store names and your store page
Your store name is the address of your store page. It is 3 to 30 characters long and uses lowercase letters, numbers, dots, underscores and hyphens. Names are given first come, first served, and every name you hold opens the same store. You can hold one name, or up to three with Zene Premium.
Renaming takes effect immediately: the old name stops opening your store and becomes free for anyone to claim, so links already shared with it stop working. Removing a name works the same way. Zene does not redirect old names.
Do not choose a name that impersonates a person, artist, brand or organisation, suggests that you are Zene or act for Zene, infringes a trade mark, or is offensive or misleading. Zene may remove, reassign or reclaim a name that breaks this rule, that is needed to resolve a legal claim, or to which a rights holder has a better claim, and will tell you when it does so unless the law or a safety reason prevents it.
Your store page shows your store name, an optional photo, an optional display name of up to 30 characters, an optional description of up to 200 characters, and the posters you choose. It is public: anyone with the link can see it, and it can appear in link previews and search results.
4. Your photo, display name and description
You are responsible for the photo, display name and description you add, and they must follow the Community Guidelines. They must not include another person’s personal information, material you do not have the rights to use, hate, harassment, sexual content or violence, false claims about Zene, its posters, prices or discounts, contact details meant to move sales away from Zene, or anything unlawful.
You keep the rights you hold in your photo and words. You give Zene a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, store, resize, display and share them while your store exists, so that Zene can run your store page and show or promote your store on Zene. This permission ends when you remove the material or your store is closed, except for copies Zene must keep as described under “Information Zene Stores uses”.
Zene may remove material, or hide a store page, that breaks these Store Terms, and will explain why where it can.
5. Posters in your store
You can add posters only from the Zene shop. Zene owns or licenses the catalogue and decides which posters are offered and their prices, styles, sizes, availability, production and delivery. You cannot set or change prices. A poster removed from the catalogue also disappears from your store.
A store holds up to 5 posters, or up to 20 with Zene Premium. If your Premium ends, your 5 most recently added posters and your first store name stay live; the rest are paused rather than deleted, and return if Premium does. A paused poster or name earns nothing while it is paused, and a link to a paused poster still opens the poster but credits no store.
Each poster in your store has its own share link, myzene.com/store-item/ followed by a code, which opens that poster directly and credits your store. Removing the poster from your store ends that link; adding the same poster again gives it a new one.
6. How a sale is credited to your store
A sale is credited to your store when a buyer opens a poster from your store page or from one of your poster links and then buys that same poster within 10 days, in the same browser. Opening the poster saves a small referral note in that browser (see Cookies and Device Storage); checkout sends it to Zene, and Zene decides whether it earns.
Credit is per poster, not per order. Only a poster the buyer opened through your store earns for you. Other posters in the same order earn nothing for you, even if they are also in your store, unless the buyer opened each of them through your store too. If the buyer later opens the same poster through another store, the most recent store receives the credit. When the order is placed, the poster must still be live in your store, the name used must still open your store, and your store must be switched on — not closing, and not part of an account being deleted.
No commission is earned on: purchases made with your own Zene account; purchases made by you or for you through another account, or arranged by you mainly to earn a commission; orders the buyer cancels or returns, or that are refunded in full or in part; orders reversed by a chargeback or payment dispute; and orders Zene reasonably believes are fraudulent or break these Store Terms.
Credit depends on the buyer’s browser. A sale may not be credited if the buyer switches device or browser, uses a private window that is closed before buying, clears site data, blocks cookies or site storage, or opens your link inside one app and buys somewhere else. Referrals are currently recorded on the Zene website; a purchase made in a Zene mobile app may not be credited until app support is announced. Zene does not pay commission on a sale it could not attribute and cannot rebuild a referral that was never recorded.
7. Commission rates and how they are worked out
Zene sets a commission rate for each poster style as a percentage of the price, and your store dashboard shows the current rates. Zene may change rates or add styles at any time. A change applies only to orders placed after it takes effect: every commission keeps the rate in force when its order was placed.
Commission is worked out on the price of the credited print in the order (its price times the quantity), less its proportional share of any coupon applied to the order. Delivery, and any tax or fee added on top of the items at checkout, is not included. Commission is rounded down to the nearest paisa. For example, a ₹499 poster bought without a coupon at a 5% rate earns ₹24.95.
Commissions are earned and paid in Indian rupees. Zene does not pay interest on earnings it holds.
8. Pending, available and paid earnings
A commission is Pending once the buyer’s payment is confirmed. It becomes Available 7 days after the order is delivered, which allows for cancellations, returns and delivery problems, and it becomes Paid when Zene sends it to you. If the order is cancelled, returned, refunded in whole or in part, or charged back while the commission is Pending or Available, the commission is cancelled and is not owed.
If an order behind a commission that was already paid is later refunded, returned or charged back, or the sale turns out to break these Store Terms, Zene may deduct that amount from your future earnings. Where the reversal was caused by a breach of these Store Terms and your future earnings cannot cover it, you agree to repay it when asked.
Your store dashboard shows your Pending, Available and Paid amounts, the last 30 days of activity, and every payment made to you with its bank reference. If you believe an amount is wrong, tell Zene within 60 days of the payment or order concerned so that it can be checked.
9. Getting paid
To be paid, add in your store dashboard the bank account your earnings should go to: the account holder’s name, bank, account number, IFSC code, address and phone. The account must be in your name or, if you are under 18, in the name of your parent or guardian. You are responsible for entering correct details. Zene is not responsible for money sent to details you entered incorrectly and may not be able to recover it.
Zene pays Available earnings by bank transfer to the account on file, usually once a month, and records each payment with the bank’s transaction reference, which you can see in your dashboard. There is no minimum amount. Zene pays its own transfer charges; any charge your bank makes for receiving money is yours.
Zene may hold a payment for as long as reasonably necessary to look into unusual activity, confirm who is entitled to be paid, confirm a parent’s or guardian’s permission, resolve a dispute, or comply with the law, a court or a regulator. Zene will tell you when a payment is held and why, unless it is not allowed to.
You are responsible for any tax due on your earnings and for reporting them where the law requires. If a law requires Zene to deduct or withhold tax, or to collect tax information before paying you, Zene will do so, show you any amount deducted, and may wait to pay until the required information is provided.
10. Promoting your store fairly
Promote your store honestly, and make it clear that you earn a commission when people buy through your links — for example “I earn a commission from purchases made through this link”, or a clear #ad label where your platform or advertising rules require one. In India this includes the ASCI guidelines for influencer advertising; elsewhere, the rules that apply where your audience is.
You must not: send spam or unsolicited messages; post links where a site or community does not allow them; make false or misleading claims about Zene or a poster, its price, a discount, a giveaway, delivery or quality; pretend to be Zene or claim Zene endorses you; bid on “Zene” or similar terms in paid search or app-store advertising; use Zene’s logo or brand other than to name your own store; buy, reward or fake clicks, visits or sales; use bots, scripts, hidden frames, forced redirects, pop-unders or other tricks to plant referral notes in browsers; offer buyers cash, rebates or a share of your commission to buy through your link; aim advertising at children; or promote your store alongside unlawful, hateful, sexual, violent or infringing material.
You may share your store page and poster links wherever these rules allow — social media, messaging apps, websites and videos — and show the posters’ images as they appear on Zene for that purpose. Zene gives you a limited, revocable permission to use the name “Zene”, and links to Zene, only to identify and promote your own store.
11. Checks and suspension
Zene checks sales before paying, including whether each order was paid and delivered, who bought it, and whether patterns suggest self-buying or other misuse. Zene staff can see a buyer’s order details for this purpose; store owners cannot.
If Zene reasonably believes a store breaks these Store Terms, it may pause the store or its links, hold the commissions connected with the problem, cancel commissions earned through prohibited activity, or close the store. Zene will tell you what it found and give you a chance to respond where that is reasonable and lawful. Commissions earned legitimately are still paid unless the law allows Zene to withhold them.
Zene may change, pause or end Zene Stores, or change these Store Terms, with reasonable notice in your dashboard or by email, except where an immediate change is needed for security, fraud prevention or legal reasons. If Zene ends Zene Stores, it pays commissions earned legitimately before the end date once they become Available, provided payout details are on file.
12. Switching off, closing and deleting your store
You can switch your store off, and on again, at any time from your store dashboard. While it is off, your store page shows only that the store is closed, your links still open the posters but earn nothing, visits are not counted, and nothing is deleted. Earnings made before you switched off are not affected and are paid in the normal way.
You can close your store at any time from your store dashboard, whether or not all your earnings have been paid. Closing switches your store off at once and starts a fifteen-day period; your dashboard shows the date your store will be deleted and how many days are left. Until that date you can keep your store, and everything comes back as it was. During the fifteen days your earnings stay in your dashboard and may still be paid in the normal way.
When the fifteen days end, your store is deleted permanently and completely: your names, which become free for anyone to claim, your posters and share links, photo, display name, description, bank details, visit counts, commission history and payment history. Zene cannot restore any of it afterwards.
Any earnings not paid to you by the time your store is deleted, whether Pending or Available, are cancelled and will never be paid — not later, not to a new store and not to another account. Before you close, your dashboard shows how much that is and asks you to confirm that you understand it will be lost. By confirming, you give up those unpaid earnings.
Zene’s own bank statements and accounting records of payments it has made to you are separate from Zene Stores, are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and are not shown anywhere in Zene Stores.
13. Information Zene Stores uses
For your store, Zene keeps your store names, posters, photo, display name and description; the bank details you add; your commissions and the payments made to you; and daily visit counts for your store. Bank details are encrypted with a key held only on Zene’s server. Your dashboard only shows them partly hidden, and they are opened only to pay you.
Visit counts record, for each day, how often your store page and its posters were opened and by roughly how many different browsers, broken down by country, device type, operating system, and website or app. The country comes from the visitor’s IP address, as reported by Zene’s network provider or an IP location lookup. The visitor’s browser keeps an anonymous random identifier, and a note of the stores it has visited that day, in its local storage, so that a reload is not counted twice. The IP address and identifier are held only briefly in server memory to stop repeated counting; neither is saved with the counts. Visit counts are deleted after 30 days.
Store owners see only these totals and their own commissions. They never receive the name, email, address, phone number or IP address of a buyer or visitor.
Commission and payment records are kept while your store exists, so that you and Zene can both see what was earned and paid. When your store is deleted — fifteen days after you close it, or with your account — they are deleted with everything else, as described under “Switching off, closing and deleting your store”. The Privacy Policy explains your rights over this information and how to use them.
14. Deleting your Zene account
When you ask to delete your Zene account, your store is switched off straight away for the fifteen-day cancellation period, and your store dashboard shows how many days are left with a button to keep your account. If you keep your account, your store comes back as it was, switched on or off as you had it.
When the fifteen days end, your store is deleted permanently and completely, exactly as a closed store is when its date arrives, and any earnings not paid to you by then are cancelled and will never be paid. To receive them, wait until they have been paid before asking for deletion, or keep your account within the fifteen days.
15. Earnings, availability and liability
Zene does not promise that your store will earn any particular amount, that every link will be credited, or that Zene Stores will be available without interruption. Zene is not responsible for the platforms where you share your links or for buyers’ decisions.
The responsibility and liability terms of the Terms of Service apply to Zene Stores. You remain responsible for your own content and promotion as those Terms describe. Nothing in these Store Terms limits a liability or right that cannot lawfully be limited.
16. Law and contact
These Store Terms are governed by the same law, and disputes are handled in the same way, as the Terms of Service.
